FAITH - A DAILY CHOICE
We live in a time when everything that can be shaken is being shaken, a time the Bible talks about in Hebrews 12:25-29.
Many years ago, the Lord spoke to my heart and mind and said "There is a time coming when many will run this way and that, not knowing where to turn, and they will look to those who know the Lord." I sincerely believe that we are living in that time now!
We have a daily choice in this time to grow in faith, or to grow in fear and insecurity like the world around us. For us to make it in victory through this stormy time, and to be able to point others to Christ, we need to have firm and steady faith regardless of what is going on around us. This is no small challenge! However, the Lord is more than able to cause us to become men and women of firm faith whose lives are a testimony to those around them.
While the the Bible is the best Book of them all, I have enjoyed reading Christian books as a supplement. I never expected to write a book, but the time came when the Lord encouraged me to do so. So far two have been written specifically for the time we are living in to encourage the faith of others. These are Standing Firm in a Time of Shaking, and It's Time to Walk on Water. It is my sincere hope that they will bless you and encourage you in your faith. They are described on the "About Us" page. The books are not about us but about the Lord, and Biblical ways of growing stronger in faith, the faith that we will increasingly need in these days!
God bless you - Dan de Kock
